How do I make changes to my preferences?

Changes are made by calling our office.This is to be sure that an unauthorized person cannot change the filtering levels selected by the primary customer.  Our staff will be happy to assist you, but will only do so if you are the account holder.

How do I add another computer?

You may have up to three computers filtered per account. To download the no-override version of the filter please go to http://www.securenetaccess.com/
wisechoice/downloadupgrade.asp During the installation of the Internet filter software, it will ask you for your master account name. If you do not remember what it is please contact us at 478-738-9927 between 8:30 and 6:00pm Eastern time.

How do I get a site blocked or unblocked?

If there is a website you feel should be blocked, but isn't, then please email the website address to us, and we will have it blocked.  If you are trying to access a site that is blocked, please click on the details button and see why it is being blocked.  If you feel it should not be blocked, please email us the website address at support@wisechoice.net and we will see about getting it unblocked.

How can I make sure my Wisechoice is working?

How do I close my account?

We hate to lose you as a customer.  If you are having problems, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.Typically any problems can be solved by adjusting your preferences. We can make these adjustments with a phone call at 478-738-9927 between 8:30 and 6:30 pm Eastern time  If we really must lose you, then please contact us, and we will happily assist you in uninstalling the software, and closing your account.  Caution! Any attempt to delete files, will result in NO internet access.

Are there any conflicts?

There are conflicts with Yahoo and Google Toolbars. We do not conflict with Yahoo or Google search engines but rather with their downloadable toolbar. Simply do not download or install the toolbars and all will be fine. For more information, please contact us.
How It Works.
 

Once WiseChoice.Net is installed every time you type in an Internet address, or click on a link to an Internet address, or type in a word to search for, the address or word you requested is routed to our computers where it is checked against our block list. If your request is not on our list you proceed as normal to the site you requested and never know WiseChoice.Net is there. If your request IS in our list, you get a message stating that the site you requested has been blocked and the reason why. Since we have super-fast computers and the fastest possible connection to the Internet the whole process of checking your request takes less than a second once it reaches the Internet.

The Block List
  The ever growing WiseChoice.Net "Block List" contains thousands upon thousands of sites that are blocked. The list was developed by a company that provides Internet filtering to corporate clients and has licensed it to WiseChoice.Net. The list is constantly being updated by electronic moles and spiders that seek out suspicious sites 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The WiseChoice.Net staff and volunteers are constantly augmenting and checking the list to ensure that it provides the highest degree of protection possible.
